Spring Has Sprung

To start off, I wanted to share this video...if any of you know me at all, I'm sure you don't have a hard time imagining me giggling throughout the entire video (and it may or may not have been while at work). I love all things small and fluffy. Therefore, this video made my day when I discovered it. So I hope you all enjoy :)

Now that I've got that over with, I can go on with an update on what we've been doing lately! It has been quite a while since I blogged last, so I'm going to have a simple approach to getting the blog up to date. I'll start with the most recent events.

1. Easter!
This year's Easter was very different than most that we've had. My parents decided to desert us and go on a cruise instead of spending Easter with their children (not bitter at all...). So we were on our own! And I would have to say that we did pretty well. We made a roast and celebrated with Ron, Jee & Anthony, Zack & Hill and Whitney! We decorated Easter cookies and attempted to deliver them to folks around the neighborhood. But my favorite part of the day was waking up to a clean apartment, homemade breakfast and an Easter-egg hunt full of a scripture hunt and favor coupons. I have an awesome hubby!
Tulips, our favorite!
The whole crew
Making Grandma King's famous Farmhouse Cookies...soooo good!
Decorating party
The final product
And even though my parents deserted us for Easter, we still celebrated a week earlier. And yes, my mom still did an Easter egg hunt for us...love her!

2. BYU Baseball Game
Last Friday Ron got us into the BYU baseball game for free...and even though I get really ADD watching baseball, we still had a really fun time! However, I did make everyone leave after the 7th inning. For some reason, I cannot sit through a whole game! I really need to work on that.
Yes, we must be typical married couples by now. We don't even have to sit by our husbands anymore...haha but we still love them!

Jeewon is so pretty that the whole picture was naturally focused on her :)

3. A visit by the Chubbuck's on Conference Weekend!
Conference Weekend by itself it always great, but even greater when the Chubbuck's come into town as well! Even though we only got to spend a few days with them, it was still fabulous. We spent some girl time during Priesthood while the men went downtown to the Conference Center. Girl time is always great with Lindsey, Barb and Julie - especially with baby Elise in the mix now :) We absolutely love her!

We took some fun pictures, but I don't have them to post yet. Once I get them I'll be sure to add them.

4. The Hunger Games
So....as you may have noted from a previous post, I am slightly obsessed with the Hunger Games series. Not an addict or anything, but I loved the books. Even though they're mildly creepy and disturbing. Naturally, I HAD to go see the show. Lucky for me, I also have friends who were just as excited to see it as I was! Cam and I went to see it on a Saturday matine showing with Ron, Jee and Hillary (sadly, Zack had to work). And we all absolutely loved it. I thought they followed the books really well without making the movie too graphic. Anyways, we went out to dinner afterwards at Malawi's Pizza and went shopping for a bit around Riverwoods. All the excitement and adrenaline of the night just tuckered us right out....
This may or may not happen on a regular basis...

5. St. Patrick's Day
St. Patrick's Day is always an interesting one. Every year I'm reminded of the green eggs and ham that made me sick in the 2nd grade. For some reason, I can't get that memory out of my mind. But this year, my mom redeemed herself :) Just kidding, but it was a really fun night! We had the traditional corn beef and cabbage, accompanied with green bread and green decor. Haha
We always miss having my mom in the pictures, she doesn't believe in self-timer. Haha

6. Our Most Recent Project :)
Last, but not least, I thought I would let you all know about our most recent project - we're building a crib! Yes, a crib, which means.....we're expecting!!!! Our little Squirt is due on September 22nd and we couldn't be more thrilled! I'm a little over 16 weeks along which means we get to find out the gender next week (hopefully)! Since Cam and I both have the patience of a 5 year old, it's going to be a long road for us, but a road that is worth the travel! We can't wait to meet little Squirt and start our family! Sorry to make you read all the way to the end of this very long post, but I hope it was worth it for you!
