First Family Road Trip

In March we took our first family road trip to California for a quick visit to the Chubbucks! They had been practicing for several months to be in a Savior of the World production so of course we had to go see it! Although it was a quick trip, it was fun to see them for a couple of days. It was also really cool to see them in the performance, which, by the way, was amazing! "The Savior of the World" is a very strong testament of the birth and resurrection of Christ, it was perfect timing to see it around Easter time.

We were also able to meet up with our friends Jessica, John and little John for a few hours at the beach....Millie didn't quite know what to think about the sand. But we had so much fun seeing her react to the sand and ocean water. Life is so fun when everything is a first!

Millie: "Hi, my name's Millie - who are you??"

John: "Wait...who are you?? You look different."

The first thing she did after sitting in the sand - face plant! Of course it was right after I bathed her in sticky sunscreen.

"What is this stuff?!"

"Oh, but these shoes are fun!"

"Is that a bird in the distance?"

John: "Here, we can play ball together."

This is really what she looked like most of the time...I was so afraid she would get burned!

She loves her daddy!
