Haha Modern Family is good for the occasional laugh, but this quote came to mind the other day when I was thinking about life yesterday. I was just thinking about how wonderful our lives are right now. Everything seems to be falling into place. A few months ago Cam was offered an internship from his #1 company in Fairfax, VA. Immediately after we found out where we were going to be for the summer, I called some friends I have in Alexandria, VA (I nannied for them 4 summers ago). Immediately, they asked me if I would be able to nanny for them again. So not only does Cam have a great job, but now I have a job and we also have a place to stay all summer for free! Seriously...such a blessing!
Once we got that all figured out, the only thing left was to decide what we were going to do with our apartment for the summer. Sell our contract and move somewhere else? Sublet the apartment? Keep the apartment and let the rent go to waste? Well, we just found a cute little family who is in the same predicament as us....coming to Provo for a summer internship and didn't want to move all their stuff for such a short period of time. Perfect!!! They are moving in right after we leave and moving out right before we come back. It couldn't have been more perfect.
Since everything has fallen into place so wonderfully, I know there is a reason for us to be out there. I don't know what the reason is yet, but I can't wait to find out what it is :) Although it will be hard to be away from family and friends for a few months, we're up for the adventure and totally excited!
But the thing I am MOST excited for is the fact that I get to stay home all day long with my sweet little Millie. I am so excited to hang out with her, it still breaks my heart every morning I have to leave her. I am so grateful that I've had such a wonderful job and have been working with great people - but my heart belongs with Millie. I can't wait!!!
So there you have it, our life full of lemonade :)
